Why have a blog?

In developing this blog and website, the first thing I did was identify the goals of the site and determine best how to meet them.

I identified three goals:

1. Create a web site that would organize my information, links, and resources that would be usable by me and by any others who come by and have similar interests.
2. To document the progress I am making on my model railroad and to give my family and friends periodic updates.
3. To interact with other modelers in ways that continue to build my skills, provide enjoyment, and allows me to pass along what I have learned as I improve my modeling skills.

The site is now close to being ready to “push out” to the public.  I  plan to write a page on building stone walls, evaluate the theme and placement of the blog posts one more time, and clean up a bit of the writing.  Then GTG.
