Building the Old Colony Division

After a lot of thought and years of on and off again planning (not to mention two 4×8 HO layouts, and a 5×9 N scale) I am reading to do some serious building on my room sized model railroad.  The name of the railroad is the Old Colony Division, named both for its initials and for the railroad that originally served Newport and Aquidneck Island, which is where I live.  The line between Newport and Fall River provides some of the inspiration for the railroad, although (somewhat incongruously) I am also incorporating elements of the B&M railroad  that serviced the Laconia and Bristol areas of New Hampshire, where my family owned an inn for many years.

Shame on you. After seeing some of your buildings I was looking forward to seeing the layout. [Grin]
